THE DREAM
I believe there’s room for everyone at the table. If we don’t think there’s room for someone, then we need to look in the mirror and reflect on our own insecurities and limiting beliefs.
We’ve been through a lot as humans. One of the great beauties of Homo sapiens is to feel and, holy smokes that can be painful can’t it? But it can also equal bliss. Most of the time, people would say it’s mundane. These are choices we are making. These are narratives we’re creating. It’s time to write our own stories that come from a place of love and not fear.
Take a look at yourself and think about all that you are. We’re walking conundrums aren’t we? Living oxymoron's. Breathing paradoxes. So with this, how can we be so quick to cancel or jump to a conclusion? How in the world is it possible to say, “You choose this so you must be this way”? Yet we do it all the time. Somehow we’re living in a culture where this seems to be normal.
I want to expose this kind of limiting thought process as the ridiculousness that it is. Not by waving red flags or protesting against but by being and teaching what I am for, what I believe in and want to see more of. Lets focus on what we do want instead of the opposite.
I wish to live a wild creative and fun life, to share other’s passions and gather more passion of my own to create a cornucopia of amazingness. I wish to be shaken raw and be held in a group that offers nothing but their arms and their hearts. I wish to create a safe space to be vulnerable, where we are all students and teachers. I wish to collaborate compassion. I wish to facilitate goodness. I wish to make this world a better place. I wish to change the culture to represent more of how nature works, without the greed and the hatred. There’s no room for these things; and I wish to be the light. I wish to transfigure and I believe there are so many others that desire the same things.
I create small-group experiences where we might get a little uncomfy but have intentional framework to support approaching that discomfort with the utmost respect. I offer challenges that invite us to dig deep and gather an understanding of how we have always approached life, and possibly create a new path. I welcome sitting across from people who have different opinions and hearing their stories so I can view from a wider lens.
So along comes Deep Seeded Soul. . .
This is my project to create a gift, one experience at a time. Where we get to travel, enjoy the shit out of ourselves and expand into who we are truly meant to be. I arrange adventures that are led by others, where I participate as a student, then come back
afterward to gather in facilitation of the lessons. I work with many other practitioners and guides that have skills to teach within the vastness of our natural world.
Each journey involves an intuitive, personalized schedule for those who attend. I believe in time to process and reflect so this will be built in as well. I have created a questionnaire so I can aid in designing an experience that meets your growth needs.
We are not pussyfooting here. We are dancing the delicate moves toward a rising. We are becoming the change we wish to see. We are writing a new narrative to suit the greater good. We are shedding light in the darkness and tenderly moving through our shame and fears. Will this all happen in one retreat? Perhaps not, but I believe in catalysts and how little shifts of perspective can lead to huge leaps of growth. Just as we evolve, I expect the dynamics of Deep Seeded Soul to do the same. No one retreat will be the same as the next or the last.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
There are physical, emotional, creative and spiritual threads woven into each journey so we can understand how these weave the blanket of life. Some will be driven with a physical aspect in mind, some with more creativity. All will include deep dives into emotions and spirit.
We will gather for meals and prepare one or two together as well. We will eat mindfully prepared, nutrient dense foods that feed not only our bodies, but also our souls. We will listen. Listen to one another. Listen to Mother Nature. Listen to our guides. Listen to ourselves. We will practice yoga and meditation. We will sit still in our bodies and minds. We will write or draw or doodle to process. We will talk, sometimes with chosen topics, sometimes without. We will hold one another and allow people involved to be exactly themselves. The golden rule is the only rule. If we can’t respect ourselves, others and the world around us with our words and actions, we need to find a different way. We will give ourselves and others space and grace.
Hot laps are highly recommended to breathe and process. What’s a hot lap you say? Simple question to answer yet can be a doozie to implement. It’s just a break. A walk. Breathing. Moving through something inside to collect your thoughts. Afterward we are better able to come back and say what’s more true, rather than just our reaction. We will dance, sometimes organized, sometimes spontaneous, sometimes literally and sometimes figuratively. We will spend lots of time in nature, for she is our greatest teacher and always has a message. We will gain inspiration. We will laugh. We will cry. We will be motivated, at times by our confidence and also by our insecurities. We will find gratitude in our moments and try to take each one of them as they come. We will be flexible and follow the energy of the group. We will all have a voice. We will all be the light. We will appreciate our work as a collective and have skills to head back out into our worlds.
“A circle of women may be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one,
embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for all the love that is good and holy, dive
in. Hold on. Love it up. Get naked. Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and
love gentle. You will be changed. The very fabric of your being will be altered.”
